The activities and lessons offered to schools FREE of charge are in alignment with common core standards and Kansas standards, as well as responsive to and supportive of local curriculum needs. The Museum uses history to instruct, inspire and invigorate students in disciplines ranging from the arts to science.

  • It’s hands-on history with dynamic and free tours....

  • These free lessons and activities can be added to a tour or done stand alone to meet a class’s needs and available time....

  • Enhance your lessons with free video presentations from the Smoky Hill Museum’s Educational Lending Library....

  • Every January, third grade students and teachers from Salina and the surrounding area celebrate Kansas’s birthday....
