Most of us have heard of the Ku Klux Klan. But in the 1920s, this group was so popular throughout the state, it had chapters in most Kansas towns. Join Tom Fleming as he explores why and how this happened. He’ll share the cultural, political and economic reasons for the KKK’s rise during the ‘20s, as well as the reasons for their eventual downfall. Fleming has studied, lectured and written on central Kansas history. He’s also an author and has taught at Bethany College.
