On Exhibit through February 4, 2017
Smoky Hill Museum, Central Gallery

The Smoky Hill Museum’s 1960’s exhibit continues with Part II examining this boisterous time in America with a focus on pop culture. Visitors will be greeted with the colorful side of American culture. Sports, entertainment, music, fashion, arts and literature are not only reflected in the times but helped to serve as a platform for individuals looking to make a statement about the world around them.

The 1960s Part II: Power to the People exhibit is a visual and audio array of 1960’s icons and symbols. From toys, to music, to video clips, many visitors can relive the ‘60s and share it with the younger generations. Test your knowledge with the Culture Vulture quiz; remember love gone by with the Kissing Sounder from KOMA; and watch snippets of your some of your favorite TV shows and movies. From the Beatles to Bond, there will be a little of everything to spark everyone’s interest.
