Junior Explorers: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
The Earth is in trouble, and we are on a mission to save it! Your assignment? Learn all about what you can do to help, and then do it. That is what we are all about in this program. Not only will we learn about what it is to reduce, reuse, and recycle, we will give you a chance to make a difference? Monday, June 2, we will hear from the Household Hazardous Waste Facility and plant a tree with the city forester. Then you can learn how to make your own "green" household cleaner. On Thursday, June 5, we will do a recycle run in town and then drive to Lindsborg to a compost "turning" and visit a Fair Trade store. When we get back, we'll learn about re-purposing. Finally, we'll create Earth friendly crafts that you can use. Bring lunch and drink on Thursday! Wear close-toed shoes, sunscreen and paint cloths on Monday.Participants must sign up through Salina Parks and Recreation. See link Below
