The Louisiana St. Band

The Louisiana St. Band, formed in Lawrence, KS in Spring 2010, winner of the General Mills U Rock! Battle for the Best national competition, is interested in only one thing: playing music with heart and soul. Awarded with time in the finest studio in LA, Firehouse Studios, they are performing songs they recorded there and many others in venues throughout the Midwest. Aside from diverse original material, The Louisiana St Band also plays a wide range of classic covers from the 60s and 70s. From tender love songs to gritty blues/rock and thumping funk, the fun never stops when they play a show. Whether you want to dance, or just enjoy the sonic fireworks of their ripping solos or graceful harmonies, everyone can find something to enjoy when The Louisiana St. Band rolls through town. David Basse Quintet

For more than 20 years, David Basse has been at the forefront of the music scene in the legendary jazz capitol of Kansas City and has recorded with many jazz greats, including Phil Woods, Bobby Watson, Les McCann, Larry Bunker and Mike Melvoin. He also hosts the award-winning Jazz Scene on Kansas Public Radio and is a featured performer weekly on 12th Street Jump on KCUR 89.1 FM.
