The Hands Have It
Lines found across the palm, wrist and fingers make each hand unique. Recognized by Plato and Aristotle, the art of palmistry reveals personality and foretells the future. Supposedly, the left hand reflects inbred characteristics, while the right conveys acquired characteristics.
Palmists consider the shape, texture and size of the hand as well as the thumb and fingers. The last thing to be read are the lines of the palm, which give clues about the person's past, present and future. The four most important lines represent life, intelligence, the heart or sensation and personal fortune.
