It’s in the Stars
To predict the future, Sumerians scanned and recorded the heavens around 4100 years ago. Babylonians charted the stars by the 8th century BCE and later developed a system to link stars to a person’s birth. Horoscopes as we know them today, originated in Greece around 300 BCE.
Astrologists chart the position of the stars and planets based on the exact place, date and time of a person’s birth. Using a complex system of houses, signs and planets the astrologer predicts the future. Today’s fascination with the daily horoscope traces back to charting the birth of England’s Princess Margaret in 1930.
